Chicago Winter

The wife and I went to see a play in Chicago last weekend. I lived in the city or the metro for a number of years, and can't say I miss much but I do (oddly enough) miss the city and it's lakefront in winter. Not that I'd give up the smallmouth fishing in Michigan for fishing in the cesspools around Chi-town, but it has it's own charm.

The show we went to see was on Navy Pier and we had dinner at Riva's which overlooks the lake. Most of the Chicago River, which flows through the City from the lake, stays open year round near the lake and it was odd to look out on a below zero evening and see open water outside the window.
